Own Community development is Collect people's Dreams and create opportunity to challenge

 About 200 families are settled in this area.
 Community development started in 1990's.
 They have transformed the community from administration-demanding type to resident-initiative type. ( They have founded "community funds" )

 In 2000, a big town development started in the neighboring area. Upon that, various groups have gotten together and started resident-initiative community development. In 2001, in order to support civilian activities, an NPO, which has functions of incubation, intermediary and funds, was established.

 As an example of their activities, they have picked up local people's various opinions . The residents have purchased unused land with money they have saved together, and provided an experimental place for people with different interests to meet. That project is called 'Dream studio' ( recognized as a model project by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport ).
 As a result, new community networks have been made, and many new projects have sprouted.

 Recently people, who are interested in these local activities, are coming in from the outside, and the networks are spreading.
